Blue Note Records - Blue Note Records is a jazz record label, established in 1939 by Alfred Lion and Francis Wolff. It derives its name from the characteristic "blue notes" of jazz and the blues.

Francis Wolff - Francis Wolff, and his childhood friend Alfred Lion, founded Blue Note Records in 1939. Besides his passion for jazz, Francis Wolff was also a renowned photographer of jazz musicians, and was responsible for the "Blue Note look" of the 40s, 50s, and 60s, as seen on album covers and posters.

Blue Jordan Records - Blue Jordan Records is an independent record label in Cincinnati, Ohio spawned by the Blue Jordan Coffeehouse in the Northside neighborhood, which closed in 1996.
